Everyone has an opinion on what marriage should, or shouldn't be. Many people advocate gay marriage, because they want to include, not exclude Australia's gay and lesbian population. Others say it's "a step into the great unknown", and/or oppose it on religious grounds.
In an effort to shed some light on a controversial topic, Sophia Stölting spoke to proponents and adversaries of the proposed marriage equality laws.
