Chancellor Merz's inaugural visit to US President Trump began with an open round of discussions in the Oval Office. For around 40 minutes, the two discussed international topics and answered questions from reporters. The two politicians complimented each other and anyone who had feared a new political scandal was pleasantly surprised.
