Iran is still being shaken by bloody protests today. According to estimates by human rights organizations, more than 2500 people have been killed by security forces so far. Thousands of demonstrators are in prisons and the government is planning mass executions of detainees. There have already been nationwide demonstrations in Iran in recent years.
