Born in the mountains of Salzburg, Francis "Franz" Landels, was adopted by his British aunt at the age of 11. Some years later, he made his way towards Australia on a ship. Landels soon decided to study law and was then serving as a senior lawyer for Wesfarmers for 25 years. But since his retirement 10 years ago, he still keeps himself busy: Landels was appointed Austria´s Honorary Consul of WA in 2012. Besides that, he found a new passion as a ski instructor in his old homecountry Austria.
