One of Sydney's least liked buildings is about to disappear but the architect of the Sirius housing commission complex in The Rocks says it should be preserved.
Dutch emigrant, Theo Gofers, who designed the controversial building in the late 1970s, says Sydney needs affordable accommodation for nurses, firemen and other essential services employees.
