The biotech company Colossal Biosciences is planning the genetic return of the extinct New Zealand giant moa. The flightless bird, which was up to 3.6 meters tall, became extinct around 600 years ago. Using cutting-edge genetic engineering, the company wants to resurrect the animal. The project has prominent support, but not only raises fascinating questions about feasibility, but also ethical and ecological considerations.
