“The biggest deal ever”? USA and EU agree on new trade agreement

US President Donald Trump describes the new trade agreement between the United States and the European Union as “the biggest deal of all time.” Instead of the originally threatened 30%, tariffs on EU goods are now being increased to 15%. The USA is emerging stronger from the negotiations — in addition to the new tariffs, the country was able to secure investment commitments of several hundred billion dollars from the EU.
