Thousands of students around Australia take up the challenge and study the German language. Most of them combined with another subject like law or commerce. A majority has a strong wish to work or study in Germany one day.
Melbourne´s Monash University recently organised a "German Week", which included talks from representatives of German-speaking institutions and companies. One of them was held by SBS Radio German. Those events were enthusiastically attended by the students.
