The French Bulldog or the Pug have become trendy dogs in Australia's capital cities. They hardly require exercise and most importantly, they are cute. But the majority of dogs with similar facial features have a very short lifespan and suffer even as puppies, due to cruel breeding standards. Sydney based veterinarian Dr Christine Griebsch explains how miserable their lives can be, and how costly the many vet visits are.
