Wendish harvest queens bring their culture to Australia

The Sorbs, also known as Wends, were among the first European settlers to come to Australia in the 19th century. Their origins lay in the Lausitz and they are recognized as a minority in Germany. We spoke to Anna Hotzan and Vera Guttke, two harvest queens from the Spreewald, about their Wendish identity and learned how they are bringing their cultural heritage to Australia.
