Recipe: Noni Sachdeva
Ingredients
- 1-cup spinach leaves (blanched)
- 1-cup fresh fenugreek leaves (blanched)
- ¼ cup fresh mint leaves (finely chopped)
- ½ cup finely chopped green capsicums
- ½ cup grated paneer
- ¼ cup fresh coriander (finely chopped)
- 1 cup green peas (crushed)
- 1 tbsp ginger (finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp green chillies (finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp cumin powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 3 tbsp cornflour
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Salt to taste
- ½ cup boiled and mashed potato
- Oil for frying
Method
- In a pan add 1-2 tbsp of oil.
- Add capsicum and cook for 2-3 mins.
- Add turmeric powder and cook for another min.
- Add spinach, fenugreek, mint, coriander, ginger, green chilli, peas, cumin powder, salt and sugar and cook till the mixture goes dry.
- Turn off the heat and let the mixture completely cool.
- Transfer this mixture into a mixing bowl after its cooled; add paneer, cornflour, breadcrumbs and mashed boiled potato.
- Mix everything into dough like consistency.
- Make small tikkies from the dough and deep-fry the tikkies till golden brown.
- Serve hot with tomato sauce and green coriander chutney.
