Agriculture Minister Bridget McKenzie says the government wants farmers to get back to work.

Farmers and producers similarly affected by the bushfires may find soon have access to grants of up to $75,000 dollars from the federal government.

The money -- to come from the government's $2 billion dollar recovery fund -- is expected to help replace sheds, fences and other farming equipment damaged by fire.

Finance Professor at the University of NSW-Canberra Max Tani tells SBS Italian why this fund won;t be enough to fix the problem.
