Ghil'ad Zuckermann, Professor of Linguistics & Endangered Languages, has been working with the Barngarla community in South Australia to revive their language.

The Barngarla language has been dormant for over over 50 years, but a new alphabet book is hoping to change that for future generations.

Professor Ghil'ad Zuckermann has been working with the local Aboriginal community to revive Barngarla, using recordings of Senior Barngarla Elder Moonie Davis made in the 1960s and a dictionary compiled by a German missionary in the 1800s.
