Australian PM agreed to a request from Donald Trump to help with an investigation aimed at discrediting the Mueller probe.


Scott Morrison has been dragged into the impeachment scandal unfolding in the United States after revelations he agreed to a request from Donald Trump to help with an investigation aimed at discrediting the Mueller probe.

The Australian Government has confirmed Scott Morrison agreed to a request from the US President to assist the US Attorney-General William Barr, who is gathering evidence for a review of the Mueller probe.
US political analysts are suggesting the Prime Minister put his personal relationship with the US President above Australia's national interest in the phone call.
