Intervista in inglese a Joshua Santospirito, in occasione dell'apertura della mostra a lui dedicata al Coasit di Melbourne, ispirata alla graphic novel 'The Islands Where We Left Our Ancestors'.

'The Islands Where We Left Our Ancestors' is Joshua Santospirito's new graphic novel at the centre of an exhibition currently open at Coasit's Museo Italiano in Melbourne. We caught up with the author as he was setting it up.

The book is based on a trip Joshua made to the Aeolian Islands with his parents: "in dad's case, he was looking for his great grandfather, Basilio Santospirito, to try and find his grave site", explains Santospirito.

"On the same trip, I was also thinking about how you connect to ancestors and finding out more about where they may have come from".
The Coasit exhibition includes original drawings and sketches by Santospirito that formed the basis for his graphic novel.

It will be open until November 23 (from Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and on Saturday from 1pm to 5pm).
