To avoid a chronic illness, it requires a change in behaviour and a commitment to maintaining a consistent routine to reinforce new habits for a healthier and happier life.

That's the message from Louise Natusch, the director of My Health for Life, an initiative by the Diabetes Foundation and other health organisations in Queensland to help people change their behaviours for a healthier life.

For many, this maybe the circuit breaker they need before the result of years of bad diet and lack of exercise catch up with them.

My Health for Life has been translated into Samoan and other community languages to encourage all Queenslanders to take up the challenge for a healthier life.
