Almost 80% of Australians say that the sex education they received at school did not prepare them for real life experiences. More than half of young Australians (16-24 years old) say they are not comfortable discussing sex with their parents. We spoke to Dr Katrina Lines, CEO of Act for Kids, about these research findings and the need for 'evidence-based' sex education programs in Australian schools.
