ඇමරිකාව තුලදී තම සමාජ මාධ්ය ජාලා වල පලවන තොරතුරු වල සත්ය අසත්ය භාවය තුන්වන පාර්ශවයක් හරහා පරීක්ෂා කිරීම තවදුරටත් සිදු නොකිරීමට Facebook, Instagram වැනි ජනප්රිය සමාජ මාධ්ය ජාලා හිමිකාරීත්වය දරණ මෙටා ආයතනය තීරණය කර තිබෙනවා. දේශපාලනික තොරතුරු මෙන්ම නිදහස් මතවාදයන්ට වැඩි ඉඩක් ලබාදීමේ අරමුණින් මෙම වෙනස්කම් සිදුකෙරෙන බව මෙටා ආයතනය සඳහන් කර සිටිනවා. මෙම වෙනස්කම් ඔස්ට්රේලියාවට කුමන ආකාරයට බලපානු ඇත්දැයි යන්න සම්බන්දයෙන් මේවන විට යම් කතාබහක් ඇතිවී තිබෙනවා. මේ පිලිබඳ වැඩිදුර තොරතුරු අද කාලීන තොරතුරි විග්රහයෙන්.
