Iran strikes on US base 'calibrated': Germany
Germany said Iran's retaliatory strikes were "calibrated" and expressed hope that Iran and the US will now enter talks to avoid further conflict.

German foreign minister Johann Wadephul told the ARD broadcaster Iran's launching of multiple missiles at the US' Al-Udeid base in Qatar was a "calibrated answer" to American strikes on three key Iranian nuclear sites.

Wadephul said he was also "pleased that the American president has reacted in such a measured way" to Iran's strikes.

Qatar said its response to the Iranian attack on Al Udeid US airbase is a "sovereign" issue.

"There are deep ties between the two states [Iran and Qatar] and the two nations, but the attack undoubtedly calls for a genuine meeting and a clear stance," foreign ministry spokesperson Majed Al Ansari said in a press conference.

'We will not accept any aggression,' Iran's supreme leader says
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reaffirmed Iran's defiant stance following the missile strike on Qatar's Al‑Udeid air base.

In a post on X, he wrote: "We have not attacked anyone, and we absolutely do not accept anyone’s aggression, nor will we submit to anyone’s aggression; this is the logic of the Iranian nation."

Khamenei framed Iran's response as purely defensive, stressing no target or civilian was harmed.

Trump calls Iranian response 'very weak'
US President Donald Trump has dismissed Iran's missile strike on the US airbase in Qatar as a "very weak response" to American attacks on Iranian nuclear sites.

In a Truth Social post, he said 14 missiles were fired, 13 intercepted, and no Americans were harmed.

He thanked Iran for "early notice", saying it helped avoid casualties, and urged both Israel and Iran to pursue peace.
Trump insisted the US strikes "totally destroyed" Iranian targets and accused mainstream media of downplaying the damage, branding journalists "sleazebags" with "zero credibility".

Qatar calls attack 'flagrant violation'
Qatar has condemned Iran’s missile strike on the US-run Al-Udeid airbase, calling it a “flagrant violation” of its sovereignty and international law.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed bin Mohammed Al Ansari said Qatar's air defences intercepted the missiles and warned the country “reserves the right to respond directly” in line with international law.

He urged an end to military actions, warning further escalation could have “catastrophic consequences", and reaffirmed Qatar’s support for diplomacy over conflict.

Iran considers suspending cooperation with IAEA
A key committee in Iran's parliament has approved a draft bill that would suspend the country's cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency.

The national security committee backed the general outline of the bill, which would halt the installation of surveillance cameras, inspections, and the submission of nuclear activity reports to the UN body.

Committee spokesperson Ebrahim Rezaei said cooperation would remain frozen unless the security of Iran's nuclear facilities could be guaranteed.

The bill still requires full parliamentary approval before it can become law.

Iran says retaliation will continue, but will consider negotiations
A senior Iranian official has told Reuters Iran will continue retaliating against US strikes, but left the door open to diplomacy once "the aggressor has been punished".

The official said Iran is acting with "necessary rationality" and would consider negotiations only if both US and Israeli attacks come to a halt.

Meanwhile, Bahrain has reopened its airspace after a brief closure, according to the state news agency, and Dubai airport has resumed operations after a short suspension, though delays and cancellations are expected.

Egypt, Lebanon and Gulf countries condemn Iranian attack
A growing number of countries have condemned Iran's missile strike on the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar, which houses thousands of US troops.

Egypt and Lebanon denounced the attack in separate statements, with Lebanon's President Joseph Aoun and Egypt's foreign ministry urging restraint. Oman also criticised the strike, while pointing to Israel's 13 June missile attack on Iran as the initial trigger for the ongoing escalation.

In a statement posted on X, Oman's foreign ministry condemned both the Israeli assault and Iran's response, warning against continued missile exchanges in the region.

The Gulf Cooperation Council's secretary-general joined the chorus of condemnation, with all six member states — including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain — issuing separate statements against the Iranian strike.

Iran launches missiles at US airbase in Qatar in response to strikes
Iran has fired a volley of missiles at the US-run Al-Udeid air base in Qatar, in what it says is retaliation for US strikes on its nuclear facilities two days earlier.

Qatar confirmed the incident, calling it a "flagrant violation" of its sovereignty, but said all incoming missiles were intercepted. The Pentagon reported no casualties or damage at the base.
The attack marks the most direct Iranian response yet to Sunday's coordinated US strikes on three nuclear sites inside Iran, part of an intensifying military confrontation that has also resulted in Israeli forces targeting Iranian infrastructure.
