From January 10, 2.3 million Australian children aged five to 11 will be able to get the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.


It's been deemed safe and effective by Australia's immunisation advisory body, and health experts want children get a first dose before the start of the new school year.

But it's not compulsory.
