SBS is evolving our menu of food shows to give our audiences - you - more of the world on a plate. As part of the evolution, Food Network on channel 33 will change to SBS Food from 17 November. SBS has clocked up 30 years in the food television biz and we’re celebrating our achievement with the biggest all-you-can-watch buffet of food shows.
What does this mean for food fans?
SBS Food will be bringing the whole food gang together on one channel. You’ll be seeing more of the famous Australian faces you love - Adam Liaw, Poh Ling Yeow, Shane Delia, Peter Kuruvita, Luke Nguyen, Maeve O’Meara and Kylie Kwong, plus intrepid international cooks Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Rick Stein, and Jamie Oliver. We’re pretty chuffed that the mix of diverse food shows we’re serving up is like no other.

We’ve got shows that will make you want to rush into the kitchen and start cooking or baking. We’ve got food that will surprise you, shows that you will want to sit down and watch with your BFF and your daughter and your mum, and shows that will have you Googling ‘cheap airfares to Ankara’ and ‘where can I find the best simit’.
What about my regular date with Wednesday-night food shows on SBS?
No need to worry. SBS’s flagship food programs will continue to air first on Wednesday evenings (currently Food Safari Water) and on weeknights at 6pm (right now it’s The Chefs’ Line) on SBS. #keepitpennedin
What do you need to do?
Get the snacks ready to binge on during the shows. All you need to do is tune in - like you normally do - to channel 33 on free-to-air TV, or channel 143 on Foxtel, to watch your favourite shows. You don’t need to retune or mess with any techy stuff. And all the SBS Food shows will continue to be available online after they air via SBS On Demand too.
