SBS, which started as ‘Radio 2EA’ in Sydney and ‘Radio 3EA’ in Melbourne fifty years ago today, serves content in more than 60 languages. To celebrate its 50th Anniversary, SBS has been reaching out to communities all over Australia. On June 18, SBS Nepali, along with several other language services, was in the regional Queensland city of Toowoomba for a special broadcast where we spoke to members of the local community. In this podcast episode, we will hear highlights from the day featuring Sanish Maharjan and Sanju Phuyal who are both on temporary visas.
