Acclaimed playwright and director Mahesh Dattani's latest theatre production is making its Australian debut. The production has been brought to Australian audiences by Saba Zaidi Abidi of Adakar Theatre, whose years of dedication have made this project possible. Mahesh Dattani is one of the leading voices in contemporary Indian theatre. His plays explore themes including gender, identity, family and social attitudes, earning him widespread critical acclaim. In 1998, he received the Sahitya Akademi Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to modern Indian theatre.

Adakar Theatre's Artistic Director, Saba Zaidi Abidi, has played a central role in developing and presenting this production. A National Award-winning director, producer, designer and actor, Abidi has an extensive track record of successful productions across theatre, film and television.
