The 2021 Giro d'Italia fan awards

Two weeks after the finale of the Giro d'Italia’s 104th edition, race organisers RCS Sport have launched the Giro d’Italia Awards to choose, together with all the fans, the best moments of the 2021 Corsa Rosa.

The best place to catch up on any videos, articles and opinion from the 2021 Giro d'Italia, and if any of the below awards spark great memories, it's easy to check some of the great moments from this year's edition of the Italian Grand Tour by scrolling back through the videos section of SBS Cycling Central.

Starting from 11.00 CEST tomorrow, 15 June, the Giro d’Italia community will be able to vote on the official Instagram channel of the Giro d’Italia, via stories. Over a 24 hour period, fans will be able to place their votes across 12 categories, with 4 nominees to choose from in each.

Following this first vote, the two finalists in each category will be announced. From Wednesday 16 until 23 June, voting for finalist nominees will then take place.

The winners will be revealed on 24 June in a celebration of the very best of the toughest race in the world's most beautiful place.

Best Protagonist Rider

Egan Bernal, Simon Yates, Damiano Caruso, Peter Sagan.

Best Domestique

Daniel Martinez, Pello Bilbao, Daniel Oss, Mikel Nieve.

Best Team

INEOS Grenadiers, Qhubeka Assos, Israel Start-Up Nation, Bahrain Victorious.

Best Break

Alberto Bettiol, Daniel Martin, Taco van der Hoorn, Gino Mader.

Best Summit Finish

Zoncolan, Sega di Ala, Alpe di Mera, Alpe Motta.

Best Sprint

Novara (Tim Merlier), Termoli (Caleb Ewan), Foligno (Peter Sagan), Verona (Giacomo Nizzolo).

Best 2021 Revelation Rider

Victor Lafay, Attila Valter, Tobias Foss, Lorenzo Fortunato.

Best Attack

Edoardo Affini (Stage 13), Egan Bernal (Stage 16), Simon Yates (Stage 19), Damiano Caruso (Stage 20).

Best Team Spirit
