Debate about proposed tax cuts- both personal and for business- continues in federal parliament.

The government's new low and middle income tax offset has passed parliament.

It will provide 530 dollars relief each year andf lift the threshhold for the 32.5 percent tax bracket from 87 thouand to 90 thosuand dollars per year.

The opposition supported those changes, but is still seeking more information of the further tax cuts proposed for 2022 and 2024.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says he's still optimistic for negotiations with Senate crossbenchers over the government's proposed corporate tax cut for big businesses.

Opposition Treasury spokesman Chris Bowen is challenging Mr Turnbull to take those proposed cuts to the next election.
