Australia's Nepali women urged to get Pap tests done

According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, an estimated 912 females will be diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2017 and 254 will loose their life to the illness. One of the ways to prevent cervical cancer is through early screening test called the Pap test. Pap tests are said to be one of the success stories of cancer prevention. Yet many women within Australia's migrant communities are not getting the tests done including in Nepali women says Dr Sirjana Sharma. She spoke to SBS Nepali about what Pap test is and what can be done to encourage women to get the test done.
