Gyan Bahadur Shahi, 31, from Jumla, is one of Nepal's youngest MPs and is currently on an unofficial tour of Australia. After attending an event organised by the Non-Resident Nepalese Association Australia (NRNA-A) last week in Sydney with actress turned politician Karisma Manandhar on his trip to Melbourne, SBS Nepali asked him about how he became Gyanendra Shahi. Listen to our conversation with Shahi, where he reveals his childhood and journey from the village to the city and beyond. He also gives his two cents on things Nepal can learn from Australia. Note: The views expressed in this conversation are not those of SBS Nepali but the guest's own.
