17 possible World Cup debutants as Socceroos squad revealed

Socceroos coach Tony Popovic has put his faith in fresher faces when submitting his squad for this year’s FIFA World Cup. Skipper Mathew Ryan and midfielder Mathew Leckie have equalled an Australian record by making a fourth World Cup. 17 of the 26 players could possibly be making their World Cup debuts at football's showpiece event, with Popovic even picking two players who are yet to wear the green and gold at senior level.
