Inaugural women's Ballon d'Or winner Ada Hegerberg was asked to twerk on stage - a request she quickly turned down. The Norwegian footballer was being recognised for her exceptional football performace this year.
Ballon d'Or host David Ginola and DJ Martin Solveig are under fire for an odd question when Norwegian footballer Ada Hegerberg recieved the inaugural women's Ballon d'Or award.
After Hegerberg collected her trophy, Solveig asked if she knew how to twerk. The 23-year-old quickly said “no” and appeared to want to leave the stage, before reluctantly agreeing to dance to another song with Solveig.
The DJ has apologised to Ada on twitter saying, "This was a joke, probably a bad one, and I want to apologise."
