Union workers begin 24-hour strike in Brazil


Parts of Sao Paulo were paralysed on Friday after unions kicked off a 24-hour strike to protest against a government proposal to reform pensions. Burning tyres blocked a main avenue in Brazil's largest city and public transport was disrupted as subway workers walked off the job.
